Yes! The information provided on the medical history form is very important, as there are some conditions that make it medically unsafe to perform a massage.
Examples: A massage on a person with certain heart conditions can cause them to code. If you have uncontrolled diabetes, a massage could make you pass out. If you are being treated for cancer, a doctor’s note stating that there are no issues with you getting a massage is required.
You will be provided with a policy document before your appointment so that you are familiar with my rules and guidelines.

Please contact me right away. We can then assess the possible issues.

· If I used a certain massage type, and we need to switch

Of course, I can't fix it if I don't know about it. So please, please, please tell me if you feel uncomfortably sore during or after a massage.

Most often, massage is suggested once per month. However, I like to look at every client's progress before making any recommendation.
If you have an issue that is simple and responds really well to massage, I might have you come back one to two more times with two to three days break between visits. If you are dealing with something more complex, then a consistent monthly massage might be the best recommendation for you.
